April favourites.

Where is this year going? I still feel like I'm in February - not May!!

Here's some of the things I was enjoying throughout April.

I finally bit the bullet and got myself a gel nail kit!

I've wanted one of these for SO long but never felt the need to actually get one...until now. I decided to get one because I never really splurge any money on myself. My partner paid half towards this so it wasn't a huge chunk out of my first wage from my new job (starting halfway through the month, not a full months wage!). I'm so impressed with how easy these are...I had gel nails a very long time ago when my sister had bought her own kit, I instantly fell in love with how they looked and lasted. It's taken me a year to get my own and I'm so happy I have done!

During a visit to my local Superdrug, I noticed their range on dry shampoos had changed and managed to pick myself up a right little gem.

What really drew me to this was the bright red packaging (although you can't see it on this picture from my Instagram!), I didn't even notice the name. Oh good lord this smells SO good. I've nearly used this can, but I do find the Superdrug dry shampoos work best on my hair. They don't leave it feeling...gritty? They also don't leave a powdery residue in my hair, like I find the Batiste range leaves. I bought this whilst it was on offer, either being 3 for 2 or 3 for £3.00..I can't remember! They're dead cheap and really effective.

Talking a little more about shampoos, I recently changed my shampoo bar from Lush.

I don't even need to say how much I love Lush...if you've read my previous posts, you'll already know! I picked this Copperhead shampoo bar up in February but I've only just gotten round to using it. I decided to switch from Godiva as I wanted something a little lighter feeling in my hair throughout the summer months. Now I'm going to be honest, this doesn't smell the greatest when sniffing it as a dry bar. However, this lathers up something beautiful when it is rubbed under water, the smell then turns into something I really..really like! I picked this up because I had previously used the Lush henna and loved how it left my hair feeling and the colour it left it - I can honestly say this shampoo bar has made my hair a little more orange and I actually like it! I'm even tempted to ditch the red hair and go back to my natural ginger locks. It's also leaving my hair feeling very soft and silky, not heavy which is what I was looking for. I remember buying this for around £4.00 when it was released, however I've noticed the price has increase to £5.75.

Netflix, every month you never fail to get me hooked on something, and this month it's Luther.

This is something my Dad watched whilst I still lived with my parents, he was forever asking me to sit down and watch it because it was really good. Me being me, I instantly thought "...it's a Dad thing, I won't like it" but it eventually got the better of me and I'm not even kidding you, I have watched every series twice over. I love it! The story line is just...gah. I can't even describe it, seriously, go watch it. And Idris Elba? Mmm.

Aaaand last but not least - I bought myself a new car!

Okay okay, I said I never splurge money on myself. But..gah, I just couldn't help it. I'd been in the market for a new car for a couple of months as my old trusty K.A was slowly but surely eating all my money on petrol (despite me not going any further than I normally do!). I saw this car on the internet, fell in love, went to test drive it the same day and yeh. Need I say any more? I love my little Peggy!

I'm still in shock that we're in May. Although, the weather seems to say otherwise...

March favourites.

FINALLY we seem to be getting in to spring! The nights are getting darker later, the weather is somewhat a little warmer and Easter is just around the corner.

I love this time of year.

March was a funny old month for me, I started a new job at the beginning and haven't had much time to myself and I've really struggled health wise...but here are a handful of my favourite things!

Let's start off with the h&m plastic hair bobbles.

I haven't used these an awful lot as I only got them last week but these are already a firm favourite of mine. They're a similar sort of concept to the Invisibobble, but I believe these are a little thicker than them. I didn't really know what to expect from these as I've got really thick hair but my sister actually gave me one of these to try out. I've recently been suffering with quite bad headaches and I've not really been able to wear my hair up as it tends to make them worse. However, since wearing these, I've been able to wear my hair up, headache free. I actually want to grab a couple more packs when I go in to town this weekend!

The next favourite of March was something I've always wanted to try, and that's ice tea.

Ohhh boy haven't I just fallen in love with this stuff. I actually tried the Lidl peach iced tea first, and absolutely loved it. I only tried Lipton recently and I don't know which one I prefer! I love how refreshing it is to drink this stuff...I've been dubious for years about iced tea, it just didn't seem normal but actually...I think I might just prefer it to "normal" tea! I'm actually going to pop back in to Lidl tomorrow to get a case of this stuff - the 1L bottles are only around 98p!

Can someone tell me who doesn't love getting snuggled up in a dressing gown?

This is quite possibly the most comfy thing I have ever put on my body. I bought this from Primark for £10 a couple of weeks ago and I've worn it every day since...it's actually well overdue being thrown in the washing machine! I actually wanted one from New Look which was slightly more expensive but I think this one feels so much nicer. And it has ears on the hood, how adorable!

My next two favourites come of no suprise...they're from Makeup Revolution.

Firstly these little things have a firm place in my makeup stash until they're no longer manufactured.

I really love the nude colour in this collection (second from top) as it's a nice alternative to the MUA lip laquers, for the days I want something a little more moisturising. These have SUCH great pigmentation, they're long lasting and to be honest they really don't break the bank. I just love MUR, their products are spot on all the time and to be honest, I love the fact I've found a brand I keep coming back to time and time again. I'm pretty sure these were only around £3.00 each too.

And last but not least, the final favourite of March was this...

I went to London! This might not seem like such a huge thing for everyone else but for me, this overcame so many obstacles that I thought were standing in my way. If you know me personally, you'll know I'm not terribly outgoing, I'm quite a nervous person and to be honest, I never thought I'd see the day I got on a train and went to London, by myself. I booked these tickets the last weekend my sister was down and ever since I had a horrible feeling in my stomach, a feeling of worry. I didn't know how I'd cope being by myself, going on a train by myself and to be honest, I didn't know if I'd trigger my IBS by making myself like this. I have never been so proud of myself...I sound ridiculous but I really am proud! I loved this weekend just gone, I've not felt this happy in such a long time. It was lovely to go and see my sister rather than her coming back to Worcester to see our family. I definitely plan on doing this more often, I really enjoyed myself and I've been in a good mood ever since I came back, I'm already planning my next trip! I'm also really happy to say I'm the first person in my family to go and see my sister since she moved to London, because I know it meant as much to her as it did to me.

I had to put that in my favourites as at the start of the year, this was one of the things I promised myself that I'd do. (Link) I just cannot believe it took me this long to overcome my fear of travelling alone.

I'm welcoming spring with open arms, I'm looking forward to the next couple of months as my family get back into the habit of get-togethers, I definitely plan on doing more exploring of London and I cannot WAIT to get this blog in to full swing!

February favourites.

This month has been such a bad month for me it's unreal. I won't go in to too much detail but yeh - I'm glad it's over.

Less of the doom and gloom, here's my February favourites from 2015.

Let's kick it off with this travel mirror from Lakeland.

I've wanted a light up mirror for SO long, whilst trawling through my local Lakeland (link) I found this gem. It was £15.99 and is the perfect size for day to day use. It uses 3 AAA batteries, but the LED lights on this mirror can be dimmed. I find this so handy, I use this mirror literally every single day whether it's to put my makeup on, pluck my eyebrows, anything. I'm happy I purchased this mirror, I was going to go for one that was nearly 3 times as much!

My next favourite from this month is of no surprise, it's the Death By Chocolate palette by Makeup Revolution (or I Heart Makeup, whichever you prefer!)
I pined for this for literally months. I originally wanted the Naked version but it's been out of stock for ages! I finally gave in and purchased this one and oh good lord it is literally my favourite palette I've purchased in long time. This does not disappoint in terms of pigment, longevity and colour range. I won't go too much in to this as I've not long done a post on my MUR collection. Since then, I've purchased the Naked palette which is now on it's way to me but I'll surely still be using this one as much as I do now! I love the packaging, the shades, the brand, uhhh I just LOVE Makeup Revolution. End of. As always, this was £7.99 from Superdrug but is also the same price direct from their website.

This might seem a bit of an odd one, but it's Homepride Mild Curry Sauce.

I don't really know why I've included this in my favourites as I've been enjoying this for years...but this sauce really reminds me of living at my Mum and Dad's. It reminds me of all the home cooked meals my Mum made when I still lived there and I just love it. There's nothing better than that feeling for me. Something that I really needed this month, it's just a bit of a comfort food.

My favourite body scent this month is an Impulse spray called "Secret Smile".

I only have the small tin of this as I received it in a Christmas gift set and took a whim on it but oh my god, this smells amazing! Really fruity, long lasting and very refreshing. I don't generally like body sprays because I don't find that they last too long on my clothes/skin but the Impulse brand is one that I've been going back to years on end. I really like this one so it's more than likely one that I'll go back to too. There's not really much to say...it's a body spray, it's really fruity but I really really like this one. Try it out if you want something a little bit different!

My last favourite of this month is actually a re-discovery.
The Real Techniques face sponge has been in my makeup kit for about half a year now and I've been having a bit of a love-hate relationship with it. Some months I prefer a brush to put my foundation on with but this has really helped my skin lately. For some reason I'd broken out really badly this month which led to me getting impetigo around the corners of my mouth but this sponge really helped me put my foundation on really thinly but still being able to cover my sore areas. If you're not familiar with this product, think Beauty Blender but a tiny bit better. I'm pretty sure I paid about £6.00 for this sponge from Superdrug.

And there we have it, February has come and gone, I'm welcoming the spring in with open arms. It cannot come fast enough for me, bring on the dewy mornings and crisp nights!

January favourites.

Now January has flown by in a flash for me, I literally cannot believe it's already over. This month has been eventful, but now as the end of the month is looming, this can only mean one thing, favourites post time!

Let's start with my absolute favourite thing this month, the Ted Baker body spray.

Oh my god, this thing smells amazing. I don't even know what scent it is, it doesn't have any clue on the bottle either. I received this in a gift set my Boyfriend's mum bought me for my birthday and I've used to every single day since I got it. I love it, it lasts such a long time on my skin/clothes, I've barely used any of this considering how much I've used it. I'm really not sure how much this retails for as I've never seen it around but I'm pretty sure you'd be able to pick it up from Boots or something.

Another favourite this month has been the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix eyebrow kit.
I bought this because I wanted to define my eyebrows a little more than just using a pencil, as I find when I blend that in, it looks as if I've done nothing to my eyebrows. I purchased the medium to dark shades as I have naturally quite light eyebrows being a redhead and all, they're slightly brown but slightly blonde but I wanted to go a little darker because my hair is red and I wanted them to..stand out? After using this, I have really nice thick and defined eyebrows and to be honest, this actually lasts all day. I wasn't expecting it to last that long as it's only a powder and I've not actually used the wax that's in it, but my god this has serious staying power on my skin. I'm a huge fan of Makeup Revolution, every single product I've bought of theirs I have been seriously impressed with and this does not fail to impress like the others. I purchased this from Superdrug for £3.50, however you can also purchase this directly from their website for the same price.

I've found my love for Innocent smoothies again this month!

These smoothies were a regular in my lunchbox when I was about 13-14, but I hadn't drank them in years. When I took a trip to my local Sainsburys a couple of weeks ago I realised these were on offer at 2 for £5.00 and I really fancied them. Talk about impulse buying...however I'm so glad I did. I've taken one to work every morning with me since and it's been such a nice change to my morning break rather than having a brunch bar. I've found cheaper alternatives since I've done a bit of scouting around but seriously these little cartons pack such a punch of flavour, although I'm not too keen on the sugar content...I think they normally retail for around £2-3 per box in nearly every supermarket that I've been to.

The next favourite this month is actually something I was bought for Christmas.
I was bought this as a present from my Sister and my brother in law in a box set from Lush. This is the Mangnificent soap bar and needless to say, I loooove this. The smell is absolutely amazing. I wasn't too keen at first because it smelt quite sweet but once I'd used it, it smelt amazing. It makes my skin SO soft and leaves just the right amount of scent on my skin which lasts all day. I've used this a lot this month and the same as most Lush products, I haven't really used a lot of it. The bar I got I presume was the normal size which is 100g for £4.00 but this was actually in a box set called Tutti Frutti.

And last but not least, my last favourite(s) this month are the Yankee candle wax tarts.

I friggen love these things. I've had my wax burner for about a year and a half now and I've had countless amount of these wax tarts. My absolute favourites are Sweet Pea and also Pink Honeysuckle. I've recently bought a few more such as Shea Butter and also Cassis, oh my god they smell amazing. I seriously would not be able to be without one of these any more. I've never been a huge fan of the candles because I find I like to chop and change between scents which this allows me to do. I've also recently found out that if you put the  solid wax in the freezer once the scent isn't as strong, it brings the strength back in the scent. This I'm sure will save me quit a bit of money over the next few months! These are available in a HUGE amount of scents, usually around the £1-2 mark. I've certainly got my own little stash of these....

Another month gone, another 5 of my favourites. What have you been enjoying in January?

December favourites.

Another month down, another post showing you my favourite things. This month I didn't particularly have many makeup items as I'm on a buying ban, but here's some of my favourite things from December.

First of all, let's just accept the fact I have become horribly addicted to Netflix. One show in particular being American Horror Story.

I have no idea why I like this programme, if anything I didn't really understand what was going on but it certainly had me hooked from the first episode.

Another thing I'm extremely late on the bandwagon with is Breaking Bad. Again, I owe this to my addiction with netflix!

Now I'm not going to lie, this programme has taken me a while to get into because I just didn't get what everyone was raving about. However, I've been hooked since the second series and it's constantly on my TV, I cannot wait to watch the next episode. Maybe this is telling me I need to get a social life...

In December, I was able to renew my phone contract. I'd had a Samsung Galaxy s3 for around 2 years but it rapidly went downhill when the battery would only last an hour or so before dropping to 20% and the screen would frequently turn purple and green.

So, off I went to carphone warehouse to get me a new shiney phone! I opted for the Nokia Lumia 930. Now before you all go "why?!" let me tell you something. I hate iPhones, I just cannot get my head around them, Samsung I genuinely didn't want to go with again and anything else was far too expensive. Now this little beauty is £31.50 a month for unlimited texts and calls with 4gb of internet. Now I really cannot complain about that as it's cheaper than what I was paying before and I get heaps more! I'm really happy with this phone and if anything, I enjoy using it. It's really easy to use and I can keep it hooked up with my windows 8 laptop.

Now my next favourite was actually my main Christmas present from my Boyfriend.

I've wanted a food mixer for as long as I can remember and he totally surprised me with this one. You can't really tell but on the picture it's a baby pink colour but let me tell you, it's even better in real life. It's very much a bubblegum pink which looks amazing. The top part detaches so you can use it as a hand mixer too which is a bonus as mine broke! I've only used it a couple of times as I've really not had much time to go and buy ingredients to cook with but oh my god I'm totally in love.

It may have taken me nearly 4 years to invest in my next favourite but I am SO glad I did!

I finally treat myself to a real pair of Ugg boots. My ex had bought me a fake pair years ago and tried making me believe they were real....they've been faithful to me in respect that they've never had a stain on them, they're still in pretty good shape and to be honest I will continue to wear them when I don't want to get my real Uggs messy on rainy days or if I'm going somewhere I know will be muddy. But my god, you can definitely tell the difference and I'm so glad I waited this long as I really appreciate these ones even though they were purchased with my own money. I've worn them countless amounts of times already and they're yet to misshape, get dirty or even feel gross inside. I loooove them.

Now I realise December isn't a month really for treating myself so this favourites post isn't the most exciting one I'll ever do. But at the end of this month I'll have more to post as it's been my birthday and also new year.

Until next time!

November favourites.

We're in December already?! Where the hell did last month go? We all know what that means, November favourites!

Lets kick this off with my absolute makeup favourite, rediscovery and...re-staple...? in my makeup collection. Revlon Colorstay foundation in Ivory.

I've only recently rediscovered my love for this foundation. I previously tried the normal/dry formula for this foundation, however the grease demons on my face are back so I decided to pick up the combination/oily formula this time. Oh my god, this is like a dream on my face. Personally, I love the smell of this foundation as it's not too overpowering and it's not too cakey on my skin. I get very high coverage from this foundation, I don't need to use a concealer. I also really really like the fact that this foundation almost dries powdery. I can easily wear this foundation all day at work and through the evening right up until I go to bed. Now that's about...15 hours wear! In that time, my face has never gotten shiney and it looks exactly like it had done when I applied it. This may retail for around £12.00 in good makeup stockists, but Revlon, you've found yourself firmly back into my makeup drawer.

Second favourite of the month is the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss crayons.
I'm an absolute sucker for anything from Soap and Glory, I absolutely love their retro inspired packaging. These caught my eye as I've always wanted to try their lip crayon range but never had the guts to at £8.00 a pop. This was retailing at £15.00 when I purchased it from Boots, which personally, I don't think was that bad. I actually used my points on my Advantage card to buy these. The colours on the picture are a little more vivid than the actual product, however the colour payoff on these crayons are so nice. They're subtle on first application but definitely build able. My favourite out of the three is the darkest shade called "Raplumzel", it's a really deep toned colour which suits my skin tone perfectly. These are super moisturising, don't need reapplying that often on my lips and are a nice chunky size. I definitely feel like I've gotten my money's worth with these and I'll certainly be purchasing more in the future.

What would a monthly favourites from me be without a Lush product?

Now I'm not a huge fan of some of the Lush soaps as I find them quite sickly, but I purchased Rockstar soap with my last Lush purchase and I'm so happy I did. It's a sweet but not overpowering scent, lasts all day on my skin and makes my skin feel super soft. Lush describe this as "nostalgic seaside rock" and they certainly are right. I've been using this every day now for around...a month and I've barely used anything of the smallest block you can purchase. I'd definitely repurchase this again, however I'll more than likely be switching to a different soap so I don't get bored of the scent too easily! I'm pretty sure I paid around £3-4 for the smallest block which is going to last me forever!

I actually work for Vax, however in their recent Factory Sale I fancied myself a steamer.

I actually purchased a Steam Fresh Combi as the fact it's a 2 in 1 steamer really appealed to me. After having Bonnie, I like to keep the carpets fresh to keep away fleas and also so I can clean my kitchen easily. I'm not going to write too much on this as it sounds like I'm promoting products, however if you're looking for a multifunction steamer, I really do recommend this one. I'm so impressed, my bathroom has NEVER been so clean!

The last favourite I'll write about this month is something I've been battling with for..as long as I can remember.

Now you're probably thinking...why have you got a picture of vegetables there? Well, to be brutally honest, I haven't eaten vegetables since I was a tiny baby, and that's not even joking. I have always eaten fruit but vegetables just really worry me and I don't know why. I've tried several times to conquer my eating habits but have only just succeeded. It felt like the right time to try again and this time, because I was in the right mindset, I was finally able to get over my fear of eating vegetables and actually introduce them as a staple part of my diet. Now I'm not gunna say I love every single vegetable out there and I'm going to try every single one, but I'm so proud of myself for even putting a beansprout or a carrot or even a parsnip in my mouth. I've actually enjoyed trying new foods and this is why it's in my favourites.

What have you enjoyed throughout November? What are you looking forward to in December?

October favourites.

So it's that time of the month again where I share with you what I've been enjoying throughout this month. This blog has had some serious neglect the past couple of weeks and it's time to kick myself back into shape!

As we all know, October will soon be over and Christmas will be soon be upon us, but today's post will share with you what I've been enjoying in October, quite possibly one of my favourite months as the transition into Autumn/Winter starts to happen!

To start this post off, I've really been enjoying the Carex Fun Edition Bubblegum hand soap.
This thing smells like something directly descended from the Gods, it's so yummy. As you can see from the photo, it's really appealing to children due to it's bright colours and sweetie reference, but can I just say I was a little excited when I actually managed to find? I've used the strawberry lace and cola bottle versions of these and loved them but could never ever find this one! It leaves an absolutely gorgeous smell on your hands which isn't overpowering but you can definitely smell it. I love Carex hand soaps as they leave my hands super super soft and of course with this one, smelling absolutely delicious. I'm sure I picked this up in Sainsburys on offer for £1.00 but normally they're only around £1.50 anyway.

The second thing I've been enjoying this month is the Essence Get Big Lashes mascara.

I mentioned this mascara in my previous post as being one of my favourite mascaras, but this month has been the real "test drive" month for me. I've loved applying this mascara and have even been asked on a couple of occasions if I'm wearing false lashes. It makes them thick, long and it's one of the only mascaras I've used that doesn't flake off onto your face. Considering I've been using it for around 5 or so weeks now, it hasn't dried out which is also really good as normally my mascara would be nearly dried out by now. I've recommended this to a lot of people who have also said they love this mascara, so if your local Wilko has an Essence stand in it, grab this for £2.30 (ish) and get yourself an actual bargain.

Another one of my favourites this month is quite an oldie but by no means forgotten. I'm extremely late in trying this foundation, but it's the Max Factor Facefinity Compact.

I remember using this foundation years and years ago from one of my at the time friends, who absolutely loved it. I've been meaning to purchase this for quite a long time and I loved it, but have never felt the need to until now. Now I've begun using brushes and different tools to apply my foundation, I wanted something I could take along with me, should I need a touch up throughout the day. I picked this up in Porcelain, and me being a very pale girl, I'm extremely surprised at how well this matches my skin. In the pan, this product looks orange. I'm not even kidding, I swatched it in the shop and was like "great, it's a nice colour" but when I got it home I was shocked to find my product wasn't the same colour as the one in the pan in the shop. However, upon swatching mine, I was pleasantly surprised that it was so pale. It's an almost perfect match, if not a tiny tiny bit too dark. However, going into the winter months it'll be nice to have some sort of colour to my face! It's not a heavy coverage, I'd say more light to medium but definitely buildable. I wouldn't say it's extremely long lasting but I can definitely feel it on my face a couple of hours later. I managed to find this on offer for (I think) £7.00, but I think it normally retails for around the £15 mark.

It's no shock to hear that I've also been enjoying yet another lip product this month.
Again, the rosy lips vaseline is another tried and tested product but one I keep finding myself going back to time and time again. I won't go into to much detail about this as I'm sure I mentioned Vaseline in my top lip products, but I absolutely love the subtle pinky red colour this lip balm produces on my lips. These tins last me so long, at one point I'm sure I had two of these on the go as I lost one then rediscovered it! It's super moisturising, long lasting and to be honest, I wouldn't feel normal if I didn't have a tin of Vaseline hanging around on me somewhere! I picked this up for around £1.00 from Asda but I'm sure it's normally about £1.50.

Just to add to my Lush addiction, I have a new found love from there.

I absolutely adore Lush hair products and I'm so glad I took the plunge into changing to using their shampoo, conditioner and hair moisturisers. However, this little gem seemed to pass my eyes for the past year or so. I have been using Jungle as a conditioner but felt like I needed something a bit heavier for my natural curly hair to feel "conditioned". After a good talk to one of the store assistants, I hurried away with a sample of this ready to use on my hair wash day. Can I just say, why the hell haven't I bought this before? It smells absolutely delicious, leaves my hair super soft in between washes and honestly is one of the best conditioners I have ever used. If you've ever seen a sample pot from Lush, you'll know they're tiny, however I managed to get 3 uses out of mine. This shocked me as I have really thick curly hair and usually would use SO MUCH conditioner but this is really easy to work into your hair, meaning for me, I actually used less but had extremely good results from it. After using this, I use R&B (another post I need to do...!) and my hair is left feeling silky smooth without looking or feeling greasy. I'm definitely going to be purchasing a full sized bottle of this when I get paid as I literally have fallen in love with yet ANOTHER Lush product! Kudos to you guys at Lush, you certainly know how to make your hair products. I'm sure this retails for around the £10.00 mark for one of the middle sized bottles but in my opinion, it's worth it as I say, I managed to get 3 uses out of my sample pot!

And last but not least...I've found yet ANOTHER tool to put my foundation on with.

Now, I've seen these brushes floating around for a while and love the way foundation looks when applied with one of these so really, I had to have a go for myself. I didn't want to break the bank by spending over £10 on one from Real Techniques so I picked this one up from my local Wilkinsons for around £3-4 I think. I love how flawless this makes my foundation look when I've applied it, it doesn't cake it on and it doesn't leave streaks where I've buffed it into my skin. The bristles on this brush are really soft and delicate, and as of yet, mine hasn't even lost any bristles! It really surprised me because I was expecting for some to fall out as soon as I used it, but nothing has fallen out yet. I'm glad I've tried this out, I'm definitely converted. I love using this brush, it's really easy to clean too and dried out in literally half an hour.

This brings my post to an end, yet another month has (nearly) passed us by! I cannot believe we're at the end of October already, this year has gone SO fast.

What products have you been loving this month?

September favourites.

I knowwww I know, we're already 5 days into October but I've been so busy with my new job I just haven't had time to sit and blog. However, I'm not doing anything today so lets get on with the show! I thought I'd do my first "favourites" post. I'm forever reading them on other blogs and always watching videos on youtube so hey, lets give it a go.

To start off this favourites post, I'm going to show you my favourite food for this month. It's no secret that I do my weekly food shopping at Lidl, I just cannot get enough of it. The thing I've been consistently purchasing has been hazelnut spread filled croissants. They're so yummy, I know they're a bit indulgent for breakfast but they're really nice if warmed up slightly as the middle goes gooey. They're £1.29 (I think? Or there abouts...) for 5, so if you're ever in Lidl and see these about, grab some as they're so nice!

My second favourite for this month is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear pink grapefruit facial wash. Recently I've been suffering with really oily skin and this seems to do the trick for me. As instructed on the packaging, I've been using this once in the morning (before I apply my makeup) and at night (once I've removed my makeup). It leaves my face feeling super clean without making my skin feel tight, if you know what I mean? It smells so nice too which is a bonus! I think I bought this from Tesco (I had a mini haul from there the start of the month) for around £3.00 and even though I use it twice daily, I've barely used any of this product.

Now I had to jump on the bandwagon of using micellar water to remove my makeup and I'm
really glad I have. I've been using Garnier Micellar Water to remove my makeup daily and it's really improved the look and feel of my skin. It's a lot more gentle on the skin and doesn't cause me to have any sort of dry patches or irritated patches. It's really cheap too, I bought this when it was on offer in Tesco for £2.00 and it's lasted me absolutely ages, I've been using it daily for around a month now and I'm not even half way through the bottle! Now before people go "it's just normal water" it's really not, it feels really weird when it's on your skin. I can't describe it, it makes my skin feel really silky...definitely buy some if you're thinking about it!

I'm a sucker for dry shampoo as I've stated before, I only wash my hair twice a week. I've been accustomed to Superdrug own brand dry shampoo for years, then moving on to "Girls Only" even Wilkinsons own. I then finally tried several different ranges in Batiste. My favourite so far has to be the one with cherry packaging, however when I went to my local Superdrug they didn't seem to have any in so I picked up one with really pretty floral packaging. It smells absolutely amazing and definitely makes my hair feel cleaner when I've used it. I think this was around £1.49 on offer when I purchased it, it's a pretty basic dry shampoo and I definitely love it!

And my final favourite of the month has to be The Sims 4. This was a total surprise present from my boyfriend, I'd been hassling him for ages saying how much I wanted to buy it but couldn't afford it (£50 was a lot at the time as I recently changed jobs and had no money coming in until recently..!) so one Friday when I came home from work, he asked me to make him a cup of coffee and  there it was, in the cutlery drawer! I was so happy I literally did a little dance in the kitchen and screamed! I instantly installed it on my laptop and have been hooked ever since. Okay, at the moment I don't think it's as good as TS3, but hey, it's only just been released, let's give it time! I'll more than likely do a separate post on TS4 but for now I'll keep it brief, it's actually okay despite so many negative reviews.

Sorry this post has been so brief but I just felt like sharing a couple of my favourites from September 2014 as I hadn't updated my blog in a while. I've got a couple of posts in mind that I'd like to do, so when I've planned those out properly I'll have them up in no time!

Hopefully I'll be back up and will be updating regularly again when I have more spare time and when I have structured rotas from work, so I look forward to updating you guys then!
